Multiple Intelligence Workshop at JLPL School

Mohali A Multiple Intelligence Workshop for parents was conducted at the JLPL School in Sector 91 here today. The workshop was conducted by Doors Synapsys. Various activities based on Multiple Intelligences were organized according to age groups to identify the strengths of the children.The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr Gurjit Singh, District Education Officer (DEO), Mohali.

The Principal of the JLPL School, Ms Poonamjit Kaur said that the purpose of schooling should be to develop intelligences and to help children become who they are meant to be, not necessarily who we want them to be. She said, “In classrooms employing “Multiple Intelligences”, it implies trying to engage different styles of learning in order to maximize understanding, intellectual growth and enthusiasm for learning among diverse learners.

Ms Kaur said, By using the theory of Multiple Intelligence and Modern Technology in the classrooms at JLPL School, educators empower the students and give them an opportunity to use their strongest intelligence in order to understand, grasp and learn best.
