Edwin to rock at the Sizzler Festival at Toy Hotel this weekend
“Music is my passion and I love playing for audiences,” stated Edwin, who was ‘in music right from his birth’ as he puts it. ”In Goa, my grandmother, my mother and most of my relatives were into music and the atmosphere at home was always lively and full of fun. I started playing in my uncle’s band, Imaginations, in early 1990. They used to call me Bryan Adams, because I had a very powerful and husky voice at that time!”
“I was indeed very fortunate because while my mother, Aida D’costa, was musical-minded, my father insisted that I get all round development and pushed me into joining the Army as a musician in 1996. I was a soldier in the Karnataka Bligam base camp and was part of the band Yash. As part of my overall development, I then went to the Middle East and joined the catering business. After my parents and I were fully satisfied that I could face up to the challenges of life, I returned full time to my passion - music - in 2004. The experiences over the years in varied fields have really helped in understanding the mood of my audiences and I am able to ensure that I play music that exceeds their expectations,” he added. 
“Over the last few years, I have played to my hearts content at a number of events, large and small, and have thoroughly enjoyed doing it. My biggest strength is my versatility and I can play any genre of music. My personal favourites are love songs and, naturally, Konkani songs Over the years, I have also become choosy where I play and I really liked the ambience of Toy Hotel and the type of clientele which comes here. I think I am going to have a lot of fun here and so is the audience,” Edwin stated.
According to Ms. Saanya Verma, Owner, The Toy Hotel, “Edwin was a natural choice for us  because he is an amazing singer and his style of singing enhances  the relaxed, comfortable and sophisticated atmosphere that Toy hotel is famous for.”
The Sizzler Festival brings to discerning guests an exotic variety of pipping hot combinations. There is the Grilled Chicken Sausage Sizzler which is served with mushroom sauce, the Braised Lamb Leg made with exotic vegetables and Deviola sauce, the Tagletilli Pasta with Mushroom which is tossed in olive oil and served with mushroom ragout, the Crespelle Primavera and many more... giving the winter chill a goodbye.
