Science Day stressed the need for saving the environment

Mohali, February 24, 2015: Punjab Environment society today observed Science Day here today and to mark the occasion a function was organised giving out the message to Save Environment. A seminar on the subject was conducted atKhalsa College (Amritsar) of Technology and Business Studies located in Phase 3Ahere.
Giving the information college principal Dr Harish Kumari said the event which will be on till February 28 is being supported by Punjab Environment Society. She said a Facebook page has been created to spread awareness about saving the environment.
The principal said we should all have kitchen garden at homes and there should be less use of pesticides while growing vegetables.She also stressed on the mantra ofBest out of waste and a demonstration was conducted on how to best use plastic bottles by making flower pots etc out of them.

Seven Days NSS Camp Concludes at Khalsa College

Mohali, February 17, 2015: Khalsa College (Amritsar) of Technology and Business Studies located in Phase 3A organized a seven-day NSS camp, which concluded here today. The camp was inaugurated by former vice president of Municipal Council, Harpal Singh.
Several activities were organized at the camp including poster making competition, distributing clothes to the needy besides also working for a cause by teaching the underprivileged, cleanliness in villages etc.
College professor Kirpal Singh while delivering a talk spoke on awareness for quality education and a play on menace of drugs was also enacted by the students, which won appreciation from the audience.
The last day of the camp had Phase 6 Government College Professor Ashwani Chadha as the chief guest who encouraged the students to take part in social activities. College principal Dr. Harish Kumari lauded the students who participated in the camp and for taking part in social activities of the camp.

Chhota Bheem celebrates Kids Carnival with students

Chandigarh, 15th February, 2015– JLPL School, Sector 91 managed with Pearson Schools, a part of the world’s leading learning company Pearson India, celebrated ‘Kids Carnival’ in the presence of prominent dynamic character Chhota Bheem straight from the television channel POGO to the school.
