X’mas Spirit comes alive

X’mas Spirit comes alive at JLPL School
Mohali, December 24, 2013::  X’Mas spirit was in the air at JLPL (Janta Land Promoters Limited) School in Sector 91 here today with the annual Christmas Fest, which marked the occasion on Sunday.
The Fest saw the participation of children of 3 to 12 years from various schools of the Tri-city in a variety of events. Dance and Fancy Dress Competition for children of various age groups was organized along with a Dance workshop by a professional for children which was a major attraction of the fest.
The students of Nursery to Class IV of the school performed on various Christmas carols. The parents were left spellbound by the excellent performance of these children. NSS Camp at Khalsa College, Mohali

NSS Camp at Khalsa College concludes Week-long camp carried out social service activities
Mohali, December 27, 2013::Week-long NSS camp today concluded at Khalsa College in Phase 3A here. The NSS volunteers were involved in various social activities in which they participated with great enthusiasm. Also during the celebrations those students who had excelled in various disciplines were given commendation certificates.
The college Principal Dr Harish Kumari while giving the information said the camp had started on December 20. She said the camp took off in the presence of Dr Baldev Singh, retired professor of government and Mohali College Commerce department Prof Ashwani Kumar congratulated the volunteers and informed them about the importance of the camp.
The NSS volunteers visited the village Mataur and carried out a survey on women literacy. They also carried out an awareness campaign with women telling them about the importance of education and also heard their grievances.

Khalsa College celebrates Lohri with fervour
Mohali, January 13, 2014: Khalsa College in Phase 3- A today celebrated Lohri at its campus with fervor. The occasion was marked by traditional songs and dances involving participation of students and teachers.

The students of the college also presented the famous Punjab folk dances Bhangraand Gidda.The college professors while informing the students about the significance of Lohri said the festival was celebrated in different parts of the country with enthusiasm.
